Bhubaneswar: Taking note of the alarming rise in COVID-19 cases, the Odisha government on Wednesday suspended classroom teaching for Class IX and XI students till April 30.
In a notification, the School and Mass Education Department directed the closure of all government, aided and private schools from April 8. The school authorities have been asked to vacate the hostels and take necessary steps to send the students back home with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.
The Department, however, directed the school authorities to continue the physical classes for the Class X and XII students till April 25.
