Cuttack: The Cuttack district administration on Saturday declared five-day shutdown in two panchayats in Narasinghpur block after the detection of 52 COVID-19 positive cases.
The administration said Balighara and Rushipada panchayats in Kanapur police limits will remain shut down from August 22 to 26.
It has asked the residents of these areas to remain in their homes and also barred the entry of outsiders.
The infected persons were shifted to a COVID hospital and the administration has begun active surveillance and sanitization in these two panchayats.
