Bhubaneswar: Odisha continued to register a test positivity rate (TPR) of over 4 per cent as the daily COVID caseload crossed the 800-mark on Thursday with 804 more people, including 71 in the 0-18 years age group, testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to the I & PR department, 471 are from quarantine cases and 333 local contacts. Khurda district recorded the highest 303 new cases followed by Cuttack (115) and Sundargarh (65).

With these cases being detected from 19218 samples, the TPR stood at 4.18 per cent. Odisha now has 4262 active cases.
On Wednesday, the state had seen the highest single-day spike of more than 200 with 743 fresh cases and a TPR of 4.2 per cent.
