COVID Cases Rises Marginally In Odisha After 5 Days

Bhubaneswar: After witnessing a downward trend for five days, daily COVID cases in Odisha increased marginally on Wednesday with 39 positives in the last 24 hours against 25 on Tuesday and 34 on Monday.

According to the I & PR Department, 23 of the new cases are from quarantine and 16 local contacts. Among them, only three belong to the 0-18 years age group.

Here is the district-wise tally of new cases:

1. Angul: 1
2. Bargarh: 2
3. Balangir: 1
4. Cuttack: 7
5. Khurda: 6
6. Mayurbhanj: 1
7. Nuapada: 2
8. Sambalpur: 5
9. Sundargarh: 13

Besides, only one from the state pool.

With these cases being detected from 5,236 samples, the test positivity rate stood at 0.74%. With 68 recoveries in the last 24 hours, Odisha now has 368 active cases.
