Bhubaneswar: Odisha lost another journalist to COVID-19 on Tuesday. Satyajeet Mohapatra, editor of The Common Times, died while undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at a private hospital in the capital city.
A resident of Baripada in Mayurbhanj district, Mohapatra and his wife got infected with coronavirus though they both were fully vaccinated. Both were admitted to a private hospital and while his wife recovered and returned home, his condition deteriorated.
Mohapatra’s infection had spread to his lungs and he was put on ventilator support. He lost the battle for life on Tuesday.
In his 20-year career, Mohapatra has worked as Programme Associate in ETV Odia, Programme Producer at OTV, Programming Head at 92.7 BIG FM and Programming Head at Tarang TV.
