New Delhi: For the first time in 73 days, India’s active COVID-19 caseload dipped below the 8 lakh-mark to stand at 7,98,656 on Friday, the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry said.
Besides, the country reported 62,480 new cases in last 24 hours and 88,977 recoveries during the same period. This is the 36th consecutive day that the daily recoveries outnumbered fresh cases in the country.
In another heartening trend, the daily positivity rate of 3.24% remained less than 5% for the 11th straight day on Friday.
