Angul: Two migrant workers from Angul district were killed in a road accident while returning from Hyderabad on a bicycle on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Jitan Behera (30) and his nephew Narottam Behera (28). The two used to work in a hotel in Hyderabad.
But due to the nationwide lockdown, the hotel was shut and the duo ran out of money, their family members said.
With no means of transport, they started cycling to Angul on April 19 carrying some dry foods with them. But they met with an accident midway and succumbed to injuries on the spot.
Police informed the family members about the incident and confirmed their identities through WhatsApp.
