Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and his entire cabinet have been placed in quarantine after Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj tested positive for COVID-19.
Satpal Maharaj, who tested positive on Sunday, had attended a Cabinet meeting chaired by the CM on Friday, a state Health Department spokesman said.
According to reports, the minister along with his two sons, their wives and a one-and-a-half-year-old grandson had tested positive on Sunday. The minister’s wife had tested positive a day earlier on Saturday.
Besides, as many as 17 people working at the family’s residence in Dehradun have also tested positive for the infection, India Today reported.
