COVID Curbs: Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani To Run Only Twice A Week

Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to cancel some more MEMU and passenger trains in its jurisdiction.

The cancellations are in line with the Odisha government’s guidelines against COVID-19 and also due to poor passenger occupancy, ECoR said in a release on Thursday.

The affected services are:

Rajdhani From Bhubaneswar

The Rajdhani special trains from the Odisha capital will run twice a week till May 31. Earlier, they ran daily.

The 02823 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express Special via Tata will only run on Tuesdays till May 31. The train will remain cancelled for the remaining days with effect from May 21.

Similarly, the 02824 New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express Special via Tata will run only on Wednesdays from New Delhi during the period. The train will remain cancelled for the remaining days till June 1.

The 02825/02826 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express Special via Adra from Bhubaneswar will run on Sundays and on Mondays from New Delhi during the period.  This train will remain cancelled on May 26 from Bhubaneswar and on May 28 from New Delhi.

The 02855/02856 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express Special via Sambalpur City & Rourkela will remain cancelled on May 22 and 29 from Bhubaneswar and on May 23 and 30 from New Delhi.

Other trains cancelled during the period are:

Bhubaneswar-Pune Special

The 02882/02881 Bhubaneswar-Pune-Bhubaneswar Special from Bhubaneswar on May 25 and from Pune on May 27 will remain cancelled.

Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road Special

The 02097/02098 Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road-Bhubaneswar Special from Bhubaneswar will remain cancelled between May 21 to 31 and from Junagarh Road between May 22 to June 1.

Bhubaneswar-Palasa Special

The 08433/08434 Bhubaneswar-Palasa-Bhubaneswar Special from both the directions will remain cancelled from May 21 to 31.

Sambalpur-Rayagada Special

The 08301/08302 Sambalpur-Rayagada-Sambalpur Special from both the directions will remain cancelled from May 21 to 31.

Bhubaneswar-Bangiriposi Special

The 02892/02891 Bhubaneswar-Bangiriposi-Bhubaneswar Special from Bhubaneswar will remain cancelled from May 21 to 31 and from Bangiriposi from May 22 to June 1.

Bhuabneswar-Balangir Special

The 08493/08494 Bhuabneswar-Balangir-Bhubaneswar Special from Bhubaneswar will remain cancelled from May 21 to 31 from both the directions.
