New Delhi: India on Wednesday reported 3,780 COVID-19 deaths, the highest single-day toll so far, and 3,82,315 new cases.
The maximum casualties were reported in Maharashtra (891), followed by Uttar Pradesh (351).
Of the fresh cases in the last 24 hours, Maharashtra topped the national list with 51,880 cases, followed by Karnataka (44,631), Kerala (37,190), Uttar Pradesh (25,770) and Tamil Nadu (21,228).
These five states alone accounted for around 47.26 per cent of the new cases in the country.
