COVID Deaths: India Records Highest Single-Day Toll

New Delhi: The country on Sunday reported the deadliest day of the COVID-19 pandemic with 3,689 deaths in the last 24 hours.

This comes a day after India’s daily COVID cases passed the grim four lakh-mark for the first time.

However, the country saw a slight dip in daily numbers with 3.92 lakh new cases, taking the COVID caseload to 1.95 crore on Sunday morning.

The country currently has 3,349,644 active cases and the total death toll stands at 215,542.
