New Delhi: The country registered 362,437 COVID-19 recoveries in the last 24 hours as against 311,170 daily new cases, the Health & Family Welfare Ministry reported on Sunday.
This is for the fifth time in last six days that daily recoveries have outnumbered new COVID cases in India.
The new recoveries took India’s cumulative total to 20,796,335 on Sunday. The national recovery rate stood at 84.25%.
In more welcoming news, the country logged a net decline of 55,344 cases in the active caseload in the last 24 hours. With this, India’s total active caseload decreased to 3,618,458. This comprises 14.66% of the country’s total positive cases.
On a negative trend, however, Odisha has reported an increase of 1,003 active cases in the last 24 hours.
