Keonjhar: An on-duty doctor at a COVID-19 hospital in Keonjhar district’s Ranki area was found dead in a hotel room on Sunday.
The deceased doctor has been identified as Asha Charan Majhi (55) from Jamda village under Bahalda police limits of Mayurbhanj district.
Majhi was apparently sleeping in the hotel room with the doors kept open. The hotel staff grew suspicious as he did not respond to their calls for some time. Later, they found him dead.
The hotel owner immediately informed the police, who rushed to the spot and sent the doctor’s body for post-mortem to Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) to ascertain the exact cause of the death.
