COVID Fatalities Drop Below 10 In Odisha After 27 Days; Check Details

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha touched 9,045 on Wednesday with nine more deaths due to the deadly disease being confirmed in the last 24 hours.

Among them, two deaths each have been reported from Sundargarh and Puri and one each from Cuttack, Keonjhar, Khurda, Nayagarh and Sambalpur.

Details of the deceased:

1.A 80 years old Male of Cuttack District.

2.A 61 years old Female of Khurda District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

3.A 62 years old Female of Keonjhar District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Chronic Kidney Disease.

4.A 54 years old Male of Nayagarh District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

5.A 68 years old Male of Puri District who was also suffering from Left ventricular failure & Coronary Artery Disease.

6.A 55 years old Male of Puri District who was also suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

7.A 50 years old Female of Sambalpur District who was also suffering from Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease & Coronary Artery Disease.

8.A 88 years old Male of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

9.A 78 years old Male of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

This is the lowest confirmed fatalities in a day since January 28, when the number swelled to two figures. The state had seen 8 deaths on January 27.

Notably, Odisha had reported 15 fatalities on February 21 and 15 on February 20. No information on new deaths, however, was shared by the Health Department on February 22.

After reporting over 20 deaths for 12 days, the fatalities dropped to 19 on February 16, 16 on February 17, 15 on February 18 and 18 on February 19.

The state had seen 23 deaths on February 4, 22 on February 5, 23 on February 6, 20 on February 7, 21 on February 8, 22 on February 9, 21 on February 10, 20 on February 11, 24 on February 12, 22 on February 13, 21 on February 14 and 22 on February 15.
