Cuttack: Vaccination against COVID-19 in nursing homes has become a hit among people who are unable to book a slot at the government-run centres.
Urmila Nursing Home at Mangalabag started vaccination of people in the age group of 18 to 44. Such was the demand for vaccination that as many as 500 slots were booked in just eight seconds, said Abhay Das of the nursing home.
By paying a nominal fee of Rs 100 as announced by the government, beneficiaries can take the jab at private facilities, he added.
Das said Divyangs were also part of the vaccination drive in the private facility and the norms of social distancing were strictly adhered to.
