Bhubaneswar: Home delivery service providers charging extra for supplying essentials to households during the lockdown period will face action by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
“We had clearly asked the service providers not to charge extra for home delivery of essentials. However, one of the service providers having 21 stores in the city is collecting it,” an unnamed BMC official was quoted as saying by the New Indian Express.
The official said the service provider has been warned to comply with the order. “If we find the company collecting home delivery charges again, its licence for providing the service will be suspended forthwith,” he added.
