COVID Norm Violations: Over Rs 20 Lakh Fine Collected In Bhubaneswar In 14 Days

Bhubaneswar: Odisha police have collected fines worth over Rs 20 lakh — Rs 20,56,100 to be precise — from 22,360 persons in the capital city for violating COVID-19 guidelines from May 5 to May 18.

Be it during lockdown last year or the ongoing restrictions amid the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, police personnel have monitored the situation very closely and dealt with violators strictly to curb the spread of coronavirus.

From enforcing compulsory use of mask to ensuring social distancing, police are making every effort to make people comply with COVID-19 norms.
