COVID Norms Violation: 5 Liquor Shops, 7 OMFED Parlours Sealed In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Five liquor shops, a cloth store, a gents salon and seven OMFED parlours were sealed in Odisha capital on Tuesday for violating COVID norms.

According to BMC sources, a liquor shop at Bapuji Nagar was fined Rs 10,000 for offline sales. One customer was found at the shop during the raid.

Another store at Saheed Nagar was fined Rs. 20,000 for the same offence by BMC South East Zone enforcement squad.

“OMFED parlours were sealed after it found that they were selling tea, coffee and some persons having link with positive cases were found gossiping near the booths during contact tracing. This was done to contain the spread of the virus,” said North ZDC Purandar Nanda.
