Bhubaneswar: With Odisha witnessing a downward trajectory in daily caseload, three districts – Jharsuguda, Dhenkanal and Malkangiri – have turned COVID-free with nil active cases, according to the state COVID dashboard.
Odisha reported a 51 per cent drop in new cases on Monday as 15 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 31 on Sunday, 42 on Saturday and 44 on Friday. The new positive cases were reported from 9 districts while the positivity rate stood at 0.23%. The death toll remained static at 9,203 as one fresh fatality was reported in the last 24 hours.

Odisha now has 255 active cases with the highest of 67 in Sundargarh followed by Cuttack (27), Khurda (18) Kalahandi (17) and Sambalpur (15).
The state’s share in the country’s confirmed virus caseload is 3.01% while active cases are 0.39% of the total in India. The number of cured patients accounts for 3.03% of the country’s total recovery.
