Bhadrak: The Bhadrak district administration on Monday has decided to restrict inter-state bus service to and from Kolkata with immediate effect.
Bhadrak collector Gyana Ranjan Das told mediapersons here that since Kolkata has emerged as a COVID hotspot in West Bengal, this step had to be taken. Otherwise, the situation in Bhadrak district will get further aggravated as more people might contract the virus.
The north Odisha district, which is among 11 COVID-prone districts in the state, has a total of 295 positive cases so far.
