Phulbani: To contain the spread of COVID-19 cases, the weekend shutdown in Kandhamal will be extended by two more days till July 28, the district administration tweeted on Thursday.
The administration took the decision after 29 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in the district in the last 24 hours.
Of the 297 positive cases detected in the district so far, 97 are active cases and 199 are recovered cases. Besides, one person has died of the disease.
