Cuttack: To contain the spread of the coronavirus in three hospitals in Cuttack city, the district administration on Saturday issued a standard operating procedure (SOP).
Briefing mediapersons after a preparatory meeting held at the office of the district collector, senior IAS officer and observer for Cuttack district Saurabh Garg said the SOP has been issued to strictly adhere to COVID guidelines. This came after a number of patients and staffers of the Sishu Bhawan, SCB Medical College and Hospital and Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre (AHRCC) tested positive for COVID-19.
“The hospital authorities have been asked to strictly follow the SOP in the indoor and outdoor wards and shift the patients to the COVID hospital if they are tested positive for the virus during the antigen test,” he added.
Garg further said that to contain the spread of the virus, steps have been taken for door-to-door surveillance by special health teams in the city during the lockdown period.
