Cuttack: A day after a 73-year-old man was found dead at SCB Medical College and Hospital here, another COVID patient allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the 4th floor of the premier state-run hospital on Thursday.
A resident of Mayurbhanj district, the patient was admitted to the SCB on Wednesday after testing positive for the virus.
According to sources, he fell from a window on the fourth floor and sustained critical head injuries. He was immediately rushed to the casualty of the hospital by the security guards but succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
The exact reason that led to the incident is yet to be ascertained.
