COVID Positive Cases Remain Below 200 For Third Consecutive Day In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 caseload in the capital city continued to remain below 200 for the third consecutive day on Sunday as 158 persons tested positive for the disease in the last 24 hours.

The city had reported 141 positive cases on Saturday, 191 on Friday and 216 on Thursday.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 37 of the new patients on the day are from quarantine and 104 local contacts.

Of the local contacts, 7 cases each were reported from Saliashree Vihar and Bomikhal, followed by 5 each from Nayapalli and VSS Nagar.

As many as 192 patients recovered from the disease while the number of deceased due to COVID remained at 1,043 with two more deaths reported during the period.

The active cases stood at 3,588 while total 1,15,909 people have been infected by the virus so far.
