Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police acted against 11,410 violators of mask usage and social distancing rules on the fifth day of special COVID enforcement drive.
A total fine of Rs 33,41,200 was collected from the violators.
In a tweet Odisha Police mentioned that action has been taken against 56256 violators of Covid protocols in the State in five days.
Total amount of Rs 1,58,73,200 has been collected as fine, Odisha Police stated in the tweet.
Police also urged people to observe COVID appropriate behaviour and protect themselves as well as others from the infection.
Following the order of chief minister Naveen Patnaik, the police launched the special drive for 10 days to enforce COVID-19 safety regulations on April 7.
