Bhadrak: Given the steep rise in COVID-19 cases in Bhadrak district, the administration on Saturday ordered the indefinite closure of all religious places for the public immediately.
The district administration has aslo imposed the following restrictions.
—All religious, social, political and cultural congregations on the premises of temples, mosques and churches shall be strictly prohibited.
—Only one sevayat will be allowed to perform rituals of the deity in the temple.
—Only three maulvis (learned teachers of Islamic law) are allowed to perform the rituals/prayers in a mosque and idgah.
—Every person shall maintain social distance with the use of mask as stipulated in accordance with the Odisha COVID-19 Regulations-2020 and guidelines.
This order shall come into force with immediate effect and anybody violating this order shall entail prosecution under the penal provision of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and IPC.
