Berhampur: Concerned over the alarming COVID-19 situation in Berhampur city, the traders’ body of Desibehera Sahi has suo motu decided to close all shops and business establishments at Bada Bazar from 2 pm to 5 am from Wednesday.
According to the decision taken by Desibehera Sahi Byabasayee Sangh, the partial closure of Bada Bazar will continue for 17 days.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange has praised the Sangh for taking a decision in this regard.
Notably, the city has reported 615 in the last 21 days with the highest 181 cases on April 25.
Berhampur now has 406 active cases.
