Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday said that compared to other states, the COVID-19 situation in Odisha is much better due to the sincere cooperation and the patience of the people.
In the prevailing situation, there is an urgent need to modify the strategy and decentralise the COVID management to protect the lives and the livelihoods of the people, he said.
Stating that the state government has decided to set up COVID Care Home in each panchayat and form ward-level committees in the rural and urban localities, the Chief Minister said that a massive awareness campaign on COVID-19 has been launched across the state with a door-to-door health survey.
He called on the people to join the campaign and defeat the virus.
