Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Friday announced the cancellation of two more pairs of Express Special trains from both directions. The decision was taken in view of poor passenger response amid the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
Following are the trains cancelled on Friday:
* 08493/08494 Bhubaneswar-Balangir-Bhubaneswar Special from both directions on May 15, 16, 22 & 23
* 08561/08562 Visakhapatnam-Kacheguda-Visakhapatnam Special from Visakhapatnam from May 14 to 31 and from Kacheguda from May 15 to June 1
ECoR had earlier cancelled four pairs of Special Express trains because of the same reason. Those trains were 02866/02865 Puri-LTT-Puri Weekly Special Express, 02880/02879 Bhubaneswar-LTT- Bhubaneswar bi-weekly Special Express, 07488/07487 Visakhapatnam-Cuddapah-Visakhapatnam daily Express Special and 02831/02832 Visakhapatnam-Lingampalli-Visakhapatnam daily Express Special.
