Lack of discipline in following guidelines hurt Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: With COVID-19 cases in the capital city rising at an alarming pace, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday began shifting of daily markets to other places to avoid a large congregation of people.
The daily market area in Unit-4 was shifted to a place between Shastri Nagar and Red Cross Bhawan. Arrangements have been made to allow vegetable vendors to sit on one side of the road, while fish vendors will sell from the other side of the road in this area.
A BMC official said that the daily market at Unit-I will be shifted to the Unit-I High School ground, while the daily market at Brahmeshwar will be relocated to the Brahmeshwar Melana ground on April 25.
