Puri: Because of the steep rise in COVID-19 cases, the Jagannath temple will remain closed for devotees till June 15.
The decision was taken at a meeting between Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and Puri district administration here on Sunday.
It was decided that daily rituals of the Lords will be conducted by a limited number of sevayats during the period.
It may be mentioned that SJTA had announced closure of the temple from April 24 after a virtual meeting with the sevayat bodies.
