Bhubaneswar: Micro-containment restrictions have been imposed at seven more places in Bhubaneswar for seven days following the detection of several COVID-19 positive cases.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), containment measures are being imposed to check the further spread of the virus.

Notably, Bhubaneswar had reported 581 new cases on Saturday.
On Saturday, the civic body had declared 23 micro-containment zones, which included a hostel at XIMB and a quarter on Stewart School Campus.

On Friday, the BMC had declared 11 micro-containment zones. Earlier, similar restrictions were imposed on 19 areas, including XIMB quarters, to check the spread of the infection.
The civic body had banned the entry of the public into the containment zones. The inhabitants of the containment zones have been advised to stay indoors. Shopping establishments, government and private institutions located within the boundary of the containment zone will also be closed immediately.
The corporation would supply essentials and medicines in the containment zones, it added.
