Bhubaneswar: After a declining trend in the last four days, the daily COVID-19 caseload in Odisha went up sharply by over 1000 on Wednesday with 10982 more patients being detected from all 30 districts in the last 24 hours.
Among the new cases, 6149 are quarantine and 4833 local contacts.
Among the districts, Khurda tops the chart with 1539 cases followed by Sundargarh: 964, Cuttack: 885, Angul: 539, Sambalpur: 454, Bargarh: 431, Balangir: 426, Puri: 398, Jharsuguda: 380, Nuapada: 378, Kalahandi: 370, Jajpur: 349, Nabarangpur: 335, Balasore: 303, Keonjhar: 253, Mayurbhanj: 239, Jagatsinghpur: 232, Bhadrak: 231, Sonepur: 215, Rayagada: 212, Koraput: 195, Nayagarh: 192, Dhenkanal: 189, Boudh: 180, Ganjam: 177, Kendrapada: 141, Kandhamal: 134, Deogarh: 127, Gajapati: 111 and Malkangiri: 71
Besides, the State Pool has 332 cases.
With this, the total positive cases in the state have soared to 5,65,648.
