COVID Surge: SBI Branch Office Sealed In Bhubaneswar, BMC Issues Strict Guidelines

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday sealed the branch office of the State Bank of India (SBI) at Kharavela Nagar here for four days after some staff tested positive for COVID-19.

As per a notice by the BMC Zonal Deputy Commissioner (South-East), the SBI branch office will remain closed from April 29 to May 2 with the following conditions:

—The premises of the branch office shall be sanitized immediately by the branch head in adherence to the Central and State government guidelines.

—No one shall be allowed to enter or exit the bank premises during the period of sealing, except for authorized BMC personnel.

—The staff testing tpositive are directed to remain in home isolation. Further, if any positive case needs medical attention, the branch head will intimate the BMC immediately.

—The branch head will intimate BMC in case of symptoms observed in staff, other than those already detected positive, for their testing and isolation if found positive.

—In case of any emergency, the branch head will contact the BMC Control Room (Mob: 7847873040) or 1929 for immediate assistance.

Further specific instructions/orders will be issued as and when required by BMC.
