Malkangiri: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Malkangiri district went up to 195 on Tuesday with an overnight addition of 11 new positive cases.
Of the new cases, three are administrative staffers of the sub-divisional hospital (SDH) in Mathili with no travel history. Similarly, one local symptomatic case with no travel/contact history was reported from Kalimela block.
Of the remaining seven symptomatic cases, two are from the district headquarters hospital (DHH) with close contact to a previous positive case and two cases with close contact to a previously confirmed case and working with a service provider at the DHH.
Besides, three cases are from Malkangiri municipality area having close contact with previously confirmed positive cases. Active contact tracing of all the infected patients is underway.
