Malkangiri: The number of COVID-19 cases in Malkangiri district went up to 213 on Thursday with overnight addition of four new patients. All of them were reported from the Malkangiri municipal area.
Details:
– Two asymptomatic cases reported from Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). They are close contacts of previous positive cases.
– The third patient works in an associated office at Malkangiri DHH and is also a close contact of a previous positive case.
– The fourth patient is a support service staffer in the CDM&PHO office and has no travel history.
The district administration said contact tracing of the new patients is underway.
With 111 recoveries, Malkangiri district has 102 active cases at present.
