COVID Toll: Odisha Records Highest 22 Deaths In A Day

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported the highest single day COVID-19 death toll on Friday with 22 patients succumbing to the virus in the past 24 hours.

With this, Odisha’s total toll rose to 2,273.

Among the districts, Khurda reported four deaths including two from Bhubaneswar. It was followed by three deaths in Angul, two each in Kalahandi, Kendrapara, Rayagada and Sundargarh, and one each in Balangir, Boudh, Cuttack, Deogarh, Gajapati, Ganjam, and Kandhamal.

The Health & Family Welfare Department identified the deceased as:

  1. A 40 years old male of Angul district.
  2. A 24 years old male of Angul district.
  3. A 73 years old male of Angul district.
  4. A 66 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension and Hypothyroidism.
  5. A 75 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypothyroidsim and Bronchial Asthma.
  6. A 47 years old female of Balangir district.
  7. A 50 years old female of Boudh district.
  8. A 97 years old female of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Hypertension and Coronary Artery Disease.
  9. A 59 years old male of Deogarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertensiomn.
  10. A 72 years old female of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
  11. A 46 years old male of Gajapati district.
  12. A 59 years old male of Kendrapara district.
  13. A 65 years old male of Kendrapara district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
  14. A 60 years old male of Khurdha district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
  15. A 47 years old male of Khurdha district.
  16. A 44 years old male of Kalahandi district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
  17. A 50 years old female of Kalahandi district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension.
  18. A 60 years old male of Kandhamal district who was also suffering from Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus.
  19. A 49 years old male of Rayagada district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
  20. A 36 years old male of Rayagada district.
  21. A 74 years old male of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus.
  22. A 45 years old male of Sundargarh district.
