COVID Toll Touches 6302 In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 66 more COVID deaths, which took the toll to 6302 on Friday.

The list includes past deaths for which an audit was done and the cause identified as COVID, the Health Department said.

Khurda reports the highest 19 fatalities, followed by Cuttack (11), Ganjam (10), Balasore (6), Angul (4), Keonjhar (3), two each from Balangir, Mayurbanj and Puri and one each from Bhadrak, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Rayagada and Sambalpur.

In terms of total death count, Khurda district has the highest 1238 deaths followed by Sundargarh (551), Ganjam (460), Cuttack (407), Puri (386), Bargarh (293), Angul (267), Mayurbhanj (223), Balasore (203), Kalahandi (201), Sambalpur (178), Rayagada (160), Jharsuguda (161), Nayagarh (153), Kendrapada (150), Keonjhar (131), Dhenkanal (130), Jagatsinghpur (106), Balangir (108) and Boudh (105).
