Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 cases in Odisha soared to 5,24,207 on Saturday with 11,807 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
Among the new cases, 6,613 are in quarantine and 5,194 are local contacts.
Among the districts, Sundargarh reported the highest of 1,922 fresh cases, followed by Khurda (1512), Cuttack (1052), Angul (560), Sambalpur (533), Puri (454), Balangir (437), Bargarh (428), Jharsuguda (421), Nabarangpur (419), Kalahandi (402), Ganjam (341), Jajpur (302), Nuapada (286), Balasore (260), Keonjhar (211), Sonepur (210), Nayagarh (204), Mayurbhanj (175), Dhenkanal (177), Kendrapada (145), Rayagada (138), Boudh (178), Jagatsinghpur (134), Koraput (122), Deogarh (115), Gajapati (105), Kandhamal (92), Bhakdra (83) and Malkangiri (70).
Besides, the state pool has 301 cases.
With the constant rise in the number of new cases, the active cases in the state have gone up to 90,335.
