Bhubaneswar: With the daily COVID-19 caseload in the capital city showing no sign of relenting, the active cases crossed 9000-mark as 1074 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
Among the new cases, 128 are quarantine and 946 local contacts (88%).
With the new cases, the active cases in the city have gone up to 9419.
In terms of the number of positive cases, Patia has maximum 54 cases followed by Nayapalli (52), Old Town (50), Chandrasekharpur (39), Laxmisagar (34), Dumduma (33), Saheed Nagar (31), Sailashree Vihar (27), Jayadev Vihar (25), Unit-6, Bomikhan and Jharpada (23 each), Rasulgarh (21), Patrapada (20),
On the other hand, 599 patients in the city have recovered taking the total recoveries to 39,615 and the total positive cases to 49,330.
Notably, the total positive cases in Bhubaneswar have gone up to 16,597 since April 1 with the highest 1119 cases reported on April 29.
