Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in the state capital went up to 58,175 on Thursday with 1109 new cases in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 174 are from quarantine and 935 (81%) through local contacts.
While the CRPF campus in Baramunda has a maximum of 71 cases, Patia has 61 cases followed by Old Town (51), Nayapalli (43), Dumduma (35), Laxmisagar (30), Khandagiri (29), Chandrasekharpur (24), Saheed Nagar (23), Mancheswar (22), Unit-6 (21), Sailashree Vihar, Gajapati Nagar and Jharpada (18 each), Badagada (17), Sundarpada (16), Rasulgarh and Patrapada (15 each), Pokhariput and Jayadev Vihar (14 each) and Acharya Vihar (13).
On the other hand, 1077 patients have recovered.
With 46,658 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 11,209 active cases.
Out of a total of 89,649 positive cases in Khurda district, Bhubaneswar accounts for 65 per cent.
