Bhubaneswar: The total COVID-19 caseload in the state capital went up to 53,614 on Sunday after 1084 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
Among new cases, 213 are from quarantine and 871 through local contacts (80%).
The maximum new cases are from Nayapalli (53), followed by Patia (52), Khandagiri (44), Old Town (41), Rasulgarh (40), Dumduma (33), Baramunda (32), Jharpada (31), Laxmisagar (28), Sundarpada (26), Pokhariput and Chandrasekhapur (23 each), Sailashree Vihar (22), Bomikhal (19), Niladri Vihar (17) and Mancheswar (15).
As for recoveries, 906 patients in the city have recovered, taking the total to 43,061.
Since April 1, 20,552 new infections have been reported in Bhubaneswar, with the highest being on April 29 (1119).
