Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 count in Odisha went up by around 400 cases on Thursday with 11,498 new cases from 30 districts in the last 24 hours.
A day earlier on Wednesday, the fresh cases numbered 11,099.
Among the new cases reported from all 30 districts, 6439 are in quarantine and 5059 are local contacts.
Among the districts, Khurda reported the highest of 1497 cases, followed by Cuttack: 1107, Angul: 867, Sundargarh: 703, Mayurbhanj: 538, Balasore: 524, Puri: 424, Bargarh: 395, Sambalpur: 393, Nayagarh: 382, Jajpur: 378, Nabarangpur: 346, Jagatsinghpur: 325, Boudh: 313, Balangir: 294, Koraput: 266, Dhenkanal: 251, Jharsuguda: 247, Rayagada: 233, Ganjam: 228, Sonepur: 227, Kalahandi: 205, Kendrapada: 204, Keonjhar: 193, Nuapada: 152, Bhadrak: 134, Deogarh: 114, Malkangiri: 110, Kandhamal: 101 and Gajapati: 86.
Apart from this, the state pool has 261 cases.
With the new patients reported on Thursday, the total positive cases in Odisha has gone up to 6,55,899. Khurda topped the district-wise list with over 1 lakh cases (1,00,406).
So far, Odisha has logged 5,46,631 recoveries, It has 1,06,812 active cases at present.
