Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 caseload in Odisha recorded the highest single-day spike with 12,852 new cases in the last 24 hours.
Among the new cases, 7195 are from quarantine and 5657 are local contacts.
Of the 30 districts, Khurda continues to remain on top with 1909 cases followed by Cuttack: 1073, Angul: 874, Sundargarh: 848, Kalahandi: 668, Mayurbhanj: 586, Balasore: 508, Dhenkanal: 482, Puri: 472, Bargarh: 461, Jharsuguda: 399, Sambalpur: 355, Boudh: 347, Nabarangpur: 344, Ganjam: 340, Jajpur: 337, Nayagarh: 331, Jagatsinghpur: 300, Kendrapada: 285, Balangir: 274, Koraput: 272, Rayagada: 198, Keonjhar: 180, Bhadrak: 151, Malkangiri: 114, Deogarh: 105, Kandhamal: 104, Gajapati: 77, Nuapada: 70 and Sonepur: 55.
Besides, the state pool has 333 cases.
With this, the total positive cases in Odisha have gone up to 6,92,382.
The state now has 5,77,983 recoveries and 1,11,862 active cases.
