Bhubaneswar: There was an almost 20% dip in the daily caseload of COVID-19 cases in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday, with 925 new coronavirus cases being reported in the last 24 hours. The number was 1151 the previous day.
Among the new cases, 137 are in quarantine and 788 through local contacts.
Patia reported the highest number of cases with 51, followed by Old Town (41), Jharpada and Nayapali (29 each), Baramunda and Dumduma (28 each), Chandrasekharpur (27), Khandagiri (26), Laxmisagar (19), Badagada, Jayadev Vihar and Mancheswar (18 each), Bhimtangi (17), Niladri Vihar (15), Bharatpur (13), Jagamara (11).
The total number of coronavirus cases in the city since the outbreak of pandemic now stands at 64,574.
With 51,911 recoveries, Bhubaneswar currently has 12,341 active cases.
