Berhampur: Considering the fast spreading COVID-19, Berhampur police district has stopped physical appearance for anybody to file any grievance at police stations.
Berhampur SP Pinak Mishra on Saturday announced the decision putting a ban on the physical appearance of any individual at police stations to meet any officer regarding case or file complaint.
“We have formed special teams of officers who will attend phone calls and messages through WhatsApp 24×7 ”, said Mishra. He has circulated a list of the officers with their mobile phone numbers.
Requesting the people to stay at home, he said they can call up the police stations or officials or send messages through Whatsapp on the numbers issued by him for any complaint or information. He assured that the police would help them immediately.
