Bhubaneswar: The COVID vaccination drive in Odisha, which was put on hold for three days due to Pulse Polio immunisation, will resume from Wednesday.
Director, Health and Family Welfare, Bijay Panigrahi on Tuesday said a total of 6,498 health workers will be vaccinated at 59 session sites, including 10 in Bhubaneswar.
Stating that vaccination of frontline COVID warriors will begin from February 6, he said a meeting will be held with district collectors and health officials for separate session sites and vaccinators for them. “After the finalisation of session sites, we will apprise the COVID warriors of the guidelines for the vaccination,” he added.
Referring to the Pulse Polio immunisation drive in the state, Panigrahi said out of 41,31,763 children below five years, 35,47,490 have been given polio drops in 19,557 booths in two days while the door-to-door vaccination of the remaining children will be done on the last day today.
