New Delhi: The CoWIN portal has been upgraded and will now allow six members to be registered for vaccination from one mobile number.
The CoWIN platform, which was introduced last January, had so long facilitated registration of four beneficiaries from a single number, using Aadhaar number or any other ID document.
“In continuation of updates on various utility features of CoWIN for the beneficiaries, the following features are added in the self-registration portal of CoWIN: a) Registration on CoWIN – Instead of the existing limit of 4 members, now 6 members can be registered using one mobile number on CoWIN,” the Union Health ministry said in a statement.
In another alteration, a provision has been made for revoking vaccination status in the CoWIN system since some registered beneficiaries had been receiving erroneous messages regarding their vaccination status.
“A new utility feature has been introduced under ‘raise an issue’ in CoWIN account through which a beneficiary can revoke the current vaccination status from fully vaccinated to partially vaccinated or unvaccinated status and also partially vaccinated to unvaccinated status,” the Health ministry intimated.
The changes may reflect 3-7 days after submitting the request.
