Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police (CP) arrested Sunil Kumar Dalei (25) of Banapur in Khurda district in a case of theft in Bhubaneswar on Monday and forwarded him to the court on Tuesday.
According to sources, on March 6, Achyutananda Patra reported that mobiles, cash, money purses and wristwatches had been stolen from near Reserve Police Line in Bhubaneswar on March 5. Other cases like the theft of motorcycle from Utkal University premises were also reported at Saheed Nagar police station.
Police arrested Dalei on Monday. He later confessed to have committed crimes at Saheed Nagar, Buguda, Cuttack and Khurda. All the stolen items have since been recovered from him.
Among the stolen items were five motorcycles and 15 mobile phones
