Bhubaneswar: To ensure smooth traffic management during Adivasi Mela, the annual tribal fair, scheduled to kick off tomorrow at a new location IDCO Exhibition Ground here, the Commissionerate Police on Thursday issued advisory and imposed restrictions on movement of vehicles near the venue.
According to the notification, movement of vehicles shall be restricted from January 26 to February 9 between 4 pm and 10 pm every day. Vehicles coming from Janpath to Housing Board Square covering Ram Mandir Square shall be diverted towards Kendra Vidyalaya-1 and those from Ram Mandir Square towards Sachivalaya Marg through Road no-1, Unit-9.
No vehicles shall be allowed to ply on the road connecting Ram Mandir Square with Housing Board Square.
However, these restrictions will not be applicable for the vehicles engaged for emergency services including ambulance.
Violation of these rules will attract a fine of Rs 500-Rs 1,000 under Section-96 of Odisha Police Urban Act, 2003, it added.
